Passion in the Spotlight.

Yesterday was so cool.
Raffles had their graduation show.

It was at JW Marriott and they took up the entire waiting area outside the Mayang Sari ballroom to display the works of all the graduates; from visual communication to I.d to fashion design. Well... of course fashion design took the night spot with their own big ass fashion show and a special partial scholarship to Raffles Singapore for the winner. Khoon Hooi was present as judge as well as the guy who owns and designs Intoxikate (now i know why its so exp).

Rafie and i came in his A6 (makes us look much older than we really are when we stopped at the front of the hotel hahaha) and i met up with Mandy and all. We were pretty late cause of the stupid jam plus we missed the food. About 8.30pm everybody rushed into the ballroom for the main attraction and seriously, the place looked fitting for a fashion show. There were 22/23 fashion design graduates and each had a collection of their own. Only 5 pieces each and the designer had total control over how the models walked plus the music for their 5 minutes of owning the catwalk.

Honestly, i REALLY liked some of them. The winner, Michelle had this collection with chains and studs which i absolutely adore cause it reminds me of Rodarte (look it up). I cannot imagine the time she took to make that chain dress. Crazy. But i really love it to death.

Okay... i think there's just too many things to talk about and i tend to go on forever so... here are some pictures :) Sorry if they're kind of blurry.

Winning collection: Melancholia of a Broken Heart.

2nd or 3rd place i cant remember. Theme: In Flame by Flash. That first dress on the right consists of a polaroid picture skirt lol.

2nd/3rd runner up. "Perfectionism". Another collection i really like.

Vienna mask themed. Really nice dresses but she didnt win anything sadly.







The 2 people in the middle wore these shirts which spell MONEY in huge letters.


I couldnt take a good picture of the red dress but its this sheer red translucent layer filled with red feathers lol.

Anyways, i FINISHED TERM 1 BABY. Yes im so happy. I now am free for 2 weeks hurrah (i want to go to singapore asap). No more 4am work shifts and im feeling so free and maybe missing the work a little. Jeez, wtf is wrong with me. So, I just got my timetable for term 2 as well and yes yes yes...

I still have 2 DAYS FREEEE. Tuesday and FRIDAY this time. Even better. Eat this chun foong.
