So Mercedes benz was sweet enough to invite us to the Stylo cube for their fashion show marathon :) Today spanned from 10.30am to 10.30pm crammed full of malaysian designers. Yeah, i know what you're thinking; 'ugh, msian designers arent that good'. But they actually arent that bad. Pretty darn good actually.

It'll try to keep it short and sweet :)



The morning started with bridal wear and a collection from the Bumiputera Designer's Association. We arrived late on purpose. That morning session ended with Carven Ong's bridal gowns. Really beautiful. Who needs Vera Wang. Last of the 5 pictures is his. Did i also forget to mention the guy is really good looking? Hmm.

The 1pm show followed showcasing Venie Tee, Intoxikate by Scott Chu, Lester Wong and Daniel Cheng. The pink maroon ensembles are Lester Wong's. Bloody gorgeous. Please tell me if you have ever seen his shop. Btw, i found out Venie Tee was actually a raffles graduate. Wow who knew.

The 2.30pm show was a private event for the Gaza fund. They had ex-models parading in Tom Abang Saufi. Sorry, i've never actually liked TAS. Too conservative. Regardless, all these high society ladies came and i met Uzira's mom again haha. She was wearing a pink kebaya with a hot pink chanel 2.55. Please kill me. Haha well that 2 hours i had more fun looking at what everyone was carrying than anything else. I've never seen so many variations Chanel 2.55s in my life. Every person was carrying one. Brr. There were MJ stams, miu miu matelasse, aigners, chloe paddingtons and then some. PLUS there were these 2 ostrich skinned Hermes Birkins. Holy shit these people. Before and after the fashion show we were invited to sit and have tea at the British India palace/lounge whatever you call it.

My last show was at 5pm. I honestly understand where that stupid term fashonably late came from now. Almost an hour late jeez. This time round was Alvin Tay, Karl Ng, Jonathan Cheng and Beatrice Looi. Karl Ng's felt too bland but the rest were pretty interesting. Alvin Tay's gowns all the way in these pictures. The one with the models smiling are from Beatrice Looi.

Phew. Long day. Being stuck in a red cuboid for 6 hours in a black room that felt like a refridgerator is a whole different experience. I think im getting sick. Owh well.
