I've been gone for like... 5/6 days? Sorry, it's cause we've been having pretty late outings out in town and stuff. :)
Anyway, orientation for Raffles was yesterday and seriously, i had no idea what to expect. The jam in the morning was a thorough bitch but i was one of the first few to arrive so it went okay. I realized something though.
There are alot of girls here and they all look really pretty. Seriously, no kidding. It's like Niraj's fantasy come to life (or technically any guy out there). Of course there are guys as well but their number is only 1/4 or so of the girls. Also saw Kah Fai's cousin, Kah Hon . He had talked to my brother and told him that Raffles is another Cempaka. Well, yknow what i mean (hint: $). After sitting and listening about their rules and fees for almost everything under the sun, i was quite convinced too. Made friends with this girl in Fashion Marketing named Simone. :) She's from Port Dickson which i thought was really cool. Anyway, we sat through a speech by the head of RDIKL (he's young and extremely friendly) but he made a bad mistake when talking about designers. He called the founder of Versace Giovani instead of Gianni. >_> Bad.
Moving on, we met our lecturers too. They're all pretty young and nice but dont get me wrong; they've been to everywhere and they know their stuff. After they introduced themselves we split up to our respective classes and Simone had to go. I realized by then that my class only had girls. Lol. Not even a gay guy to joke with. Owh well, i thought i could get a good gay friend or something haha (of course Erwan would be first). We got our list of things to buy (which included a big list of sewing items), toured around with the lecturers and we were done.
All fresh SPM-leavers had to sit for some idiotic English Placement test. I didnt really know whether to expect it to be easy or not (i didnt anyway) and it turned out not so easy. Seriously. Not SPM level english, yknow. After that, they gave us a listening test too but i found it abit stupid because they didnt allow a repeat of the tape. I mean.... every other english test does. And the worst thing about it was that they spoke in a British & Australian accent. I missed 2 questions trying to decipher that. You think why should i even care about 2 questions out of 100 but if i get a 80% or above, i get to skip ENGLISH CLASS (thinking about eng class only reminds me of ms. tye) on Monday and Tuesday. Hence, 2 questions might mean life and death... at least till my results are out.
Plus on Monday, i have to go back for a speaking test and gardner the results. I finally start with Colour theory on Weds. Wish me luck.
